This variety is unique because it brings together 2 different and very popular genetic lines: The TAT Genetic Line and the Penis Envy Genetic Line. The center of the caps can also have a large bulge from time to time, which is another characteristic of Yeti. While Yeti is an albino variety, Yeti x Melmac is not. The spores are subellipsoid (ellipse) shaped and they are present on a 4-spored basidia. The caps can be a diameter of 50+ mm and commonly have ruffled or crinkled cap endges.  These have diminished spore production from their mutation and only 25 percent will produce spores.
